SYNOPSIS:
Unholy is a film about a love triangle — a meta-narrative woven into the life of an ordinary teenage girl.
Sixteen-year-old Love Crossova her name echoing both love and the cross runs away from home and calls the married man she is in love with to join her at her family’s country house. When he refuses, she phones her ex-boyfriend in a moment of despair. In the end, the entire “Holy Trinity” gathers at the dacha. In times of peace, running is ridiculous; in times of war, it is a sin. In the feature film Unholy, these words are spoken by the executioner assigned to sixteen-year-old Love Crossova before Pontius Pilate.
